 The mission of the Pre-College Academy for Girls is to increase student
achievement and lower the drop-out rate by providing a positive learning
environment that enhances self-esteem, promotes responsible citizenship, and
fosters a desire for life-long learning.
Capitol Pre-College Academy students are scheduled to take World Geography,
Physical Science, Algebra I, English I, Reading, Basic Computer Application and
ROTC or Physical Education. The Pre-College Academy is preparing students to
pursue careers in: Military Science, Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine and Pre-Engineering.
The Pre-College is designed to prepare all students to enter into a 4-year
institution of higher learning.

School Improvement
 The school improvement plan assesses the school's strengths and weaknesses, implements strategies and activities to address the school's needs, and continually evaluates the school's progress toward achieving its objectives and meeting its goals. The plan focuses on improving student achievement at the school by addressing state goals and performance standards.
